Tyler is 7 weeks old on the 17th...

Image
We can't believe it's already been 7 weeks since Celestie delivered Tyler. During this time, we've watched Tyler grow with utter amazement. He is eating more formula now and has quickly gone from 4oz to 6oz each feeding. He has also grown out of most of his newborn clothing. He's now wearing 0-3 month clothes. He's found his thumb, and most of fingers which he likes to suck on. We are still working towards getting Tyler on a consistent schedule that is more in tune with ours. He still wakes up at least once in the early morning hours for a diaper changing and bottle feeding. On a good night, he will sleep between 5-7 hours for us. During the day, we let him take a few naps in his swing or play pen. We're also letting him have "tummy-time" where he'll lay on his stomach on the floor or in the play pen. He holds his head up fairly well now and enjoys listening and watching his Baby Einstien videos. The videos are filled with sights and sounds that co...

a picture of Tyler enjoying his new swing!

Image
We purchased a smaller swing so that it could be more easily moved to other rooms in the house. The orginal swing we had was much larger and wasn't working properly after using it for several weeks now. With the new swing, Tyler is enjoying the new sounds that it makes and this swing also has some interesting features designed to grab his attention.

Tyler is 6 weeks old today!

Image
Tyler is starting to make sounds like gurgle and coo. He is also smiling back when we smile at him. Tyler is starting to sleep longer at night, usually for about 4-6 hours at a time. We love to cuddle with him!

Tyler enjoys his bath time

Image
We give Tyler a bath every other day. He is getting used to being in the water, otherwise he's a bit fussy. After his most recent bath, we measured him and he is 21.5" now. He was 20.25" at birth. It's so exciting to see him growing!

Tyler is now 5 weeks old

Image
Tyler turned 5 weeks old on 1/2/2006. He weighs approx 8lbs now and we can see a noticeable difference in his face as it has filled in a bit. He's getting bigger by the day!

Happy New Year!

Image
We haven't been keeping up with the updates to this blog, so this is a bit late. Tyler celebrates his first New Year's Eve celebration by watching the Dick Clark special with his Mom and Dad. We spent the evening relaxing by a warm fire.

Tyler finds his thumb

Image
When Tyler is not feeding from a bottle, he occasionally has a pacifier in his mouth. When the pacifier is nowhere to be found, he is slowly learning that his fingers make a great alternative. The thumb fits perfectly in his mouth. It's great to see him make this discovery and to watch him grow and learn.

Sleepy Puppy dreaming of chasing kittens

Image
We can only imagine what Tyler is dreaming of in this picture. He is obviously having a pleasant dream. Perhaps of chasing and teasing some cats? That's what his parents like to do. Anyway, we think he looks cute in this photo. He is starting to smile more often.

Tyler's first CHRISTMAS!

This is Tyler's first Christmas and he recieved a stocking filled with many gifts. Family and friends are already starting to spoil him rotten. :) The majority of gifts under our tree were for baby Tyler.

This Christmas will truly be one of our most memorable ones. Tyler is a bundle of joy and brings so much happiness into our lives. Here are some pictures of Tyler rocking in his swing on Christmas Eve. We let Tyler open one of his many Christmas gifts that night.
