Welcoming Joshua William
Celestie had a scheduled C-section and delivered Joshua William March at 7:58 a.m. on Friday, August 7th. Joshua weighed in at 7lbs 5oz. and was 19 ¾ inches long. Joshua was born with a small cleft lip. We discovered this at Celestie’s 20 week ultrasound. We decided to keep the news to ourselves until we felt more comfortable sharing it with family.
Joshua is in good health as expected. He’ll have surgery to fix his lip in approximately three months.
Celestie did a great job delivering Joshua. I participated in part of the delivery and was very nervous about what was taking place. I can’t even imagine the emotions she was going through during all that. Celestie and Joshua spent the next three days in the hospital for routine checkups and necessary monitoring for each of them. It was a long three days for all of us, but nevertheless, myself and the kids enjoyed getting up every day to visit at the hospital. On Monday morning, Celestie and Joshua were discharged from the hospital. Tyler and Samantha came with me to pick up Mom and their new baby brother.
