The Past Two Months of Our Life...

We have been quite busy the past two months. Kris has accepted a new position with NetApp and will be making a lateral move. So we will be moving to Denver, CO as soon as our house sells. We are excited about the move but also sad to leave our friends behind.

TRUNK OR TREAT

We went to our annual trunk or treat at church this past weekend. The kids of course had a blast. Tyler dressed up as Batman and Samantha dressed up as Batgirl. Joshua was a frog.

PUMPKIN PATCH

Tyler and Samantha had their first field trip to the pumpkin patch with their preschool classes. They both had a great time and the weather turned out to be perfect on this day.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Tyler and Samantha celebrated their birthday together while Grandpa Bill and Grandma Linda were here for a week long visit. They each opened up a number of gifts and were thrilled with the new toys, books, and clothes.

JOSHUA'S BABY BLESSING

Kris gave Joshua a blessing at church with several friends and Celestie's Dad participated in the ordinance. It is always a humbling experience for Kris.

We all enjoyed our visit with Celestie's parents. The kids enjoyed being spoiled while they were here. Thanks for visiting with us Dad and Linda!!!

CARTER MOUNTAIN

We made our second annual trip to Charlottlesville in order to pick some apples and eat apple cider doughnuts. The kids thought it was so cool to pull real apples from a tree.

SOCCER

We decided to enroll Tyler in the YMCA Youth Soccer league. We questioned our decision to do this over the first couple of days at practice, thinking maybe he was too young. Tyler had a hard time picking up interest in the game initially. Eventually he figured it out and is now enjoying playing and running off some of his extra energery that he has. Kris volunteered as the assistant coach and enjoys the time with the kids. Tyler has two more games left. He has been making at least one goal each game. YEAH for Tyler!! Samantha is the one that wanted to play soccer when Tyler wouldn't. Of course she is too young to play. We will see about putting her in soccer next year.
